Deputy VII

Deputy Ministry for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation

In accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 37 of 2020 concerning the Coordinating Ministry for the Economic Affairs, the Deputy Ministry for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation (Deputy VII) has the task of coordinating and synchronizing the formulation, determination and implementation as well as controlling the implementation of Ministry/Agency policies related to issues in the field international economic cooperation.

Deputy VII carries out functions:

  1. Coordination and synchronization of the formulation, determination, and implementation of Ministry/Agency policies related to issues in the field of international economic cooperation;

  2. Controlling the implementation of Ministry/Agency policies related to issues in the field of international economic cooperation;

  3. Monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and reporting in the field of international economic cooperation; and

  4. Implementation of other functions assigned by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

In accordance with the Regulation of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economic Affairs Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, the Organizational Structure of Deputy VII consists of:

  • Assistant to Deputy Minister for Asian Economic Cooperation / Deputy Secretary;

  • Assistant to Deputy Minister for European, African and Middle East Economic Cooperation; 

  • Assistant to Deputy Minister for American and Pacific Economic Cooperation;

  • Assistant to Deputy Minister for Regional and Sub-Regional Economic Cooperation;

  • Assistant to Deputy Minister for Multilateral Economic Cooperation.

Profile of the Deputy Minister for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation

 

Edi Prio Pambudi (Edi) has served as Deputy for Coordinating International Economic Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs since 2021 and serves as Co-Sherpa G20 Indonesia as well as Chair for High Level Task Force-Economic Integrity (HLTF-EI), a think-tank forum for the leaders of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Council.

​

Edi has worked as Expert Staff for Connectivity, Service Development and Natural Resources, Expert Staff for Economic Relations and Maritime Affairs, Assistant to Deputy Minister for Monetary Affairs and Balance of Payments, Head of Monetary Sector, and Head of Monetary Policy Analysis at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Previously, Edi also served at the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry of Finance until 2009.

Edi earned his Doctor of Economics degree from the University of Indonesia, Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado, and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Jember, Indonesia.

​

Edi received Satyalancana Karya Satya X award (2008) and Satyalancana Karya Satya XX (2016) from the President of the Republic of Indonesia for his service to Indonesia as a civil servant.
